Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dante's Italiano at (919) 556-2146; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is solonc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 425 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Raleigh.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Raleigh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Thank you for serving the community an honest amount of food for what they pay, not charging almost 50 dollars for a 14 bottle of wine (I’m a previous restaurant manager and waitress… I know you can expect an up charge on a bottle, but had the experience of being charged the price of 3 bottles, elsewhere) Being a place that still serves bread and butter (another place that charges a lot claims it’s only because people don’t make it yourself) Another plus, having a variety…and decent sized portions of pasta and sauce that you can tell was soft and recently cooked…. not heated in warm sauce from refrigerated stuck together noodles. It’s nice to see a place still treating customers with respect, instead of just a wallet like Mr Crabs. It’s a little noisy, but people are happy and not leaving hungry and feeling ripped off as if they should have had everything fresh hand crafted on the spot from the hills of Sicily with some prices some places try to gaslight about. Busy because people want to eat there. Supporting local art is a plus (we’ve never met the owner, but glad to see it, people need art and good food). The Stromboli looks amazing.

I ordered the Penne Baci for lunch at Dante’s Italiano and it was SO good perfectly cooked pasta and amazing flavor in every bite. You can really tell the care that goes into the food. Executive Chef Shawn and the servers were incredibly kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and I already know this is going to be my new regular lunch spot! 🍝✨

The perfect date night spot! The food was sensational, full of flavor and fresh. We had the chicken Parmesan and the penne a la vodka! Service was top notch and the live music made it feel so relaxing. Can’t wait to come back and try something else!

Excellent food in a strip mall location. Went here with some friends based on the online reviews. Lasagna was very good as were our other pasta dishes. We ordered a pizza also as an appetizer which was also tasty and light. One of the better pizzas around. We split desserts which was rich and full of flavor. We had more than we could eat so our server Victoria took our plates away and returned with our boxed up leftovers. Very classy.
